Sometimes it’s easy to tell when you are not impaired, but sometimes the situation is trickier.

If you absolutely have to drive after you have enjoyed a drink, and if you are stopped by the police, you may be asked to perform field sobriety tests and give chemical samples from your body such as breath, blood, or urine. The law allows you to decline these tests, but doing so can cause extra consequences, such as the suspension of your driver’s license, and the forfeiture of any testing that may have shown your innocence. Remember that there is NO amount of alcohol in your system that makes it completely safe for you to drive, but if you find yourself needing legal representation from a DWI, DUI, or if you have questions about your rights, we are here to help.
